A bit of a follow up from @sopping-wet-cat-wizard’s twophist idea here, but this time based on “Monster” from Frozen the Musical! It’s a song I’ve always loved to analyze but especially since I discovered Epic, as both songs are essentially inverses of each other but have the same concept of the character realizing they’re a monster, but dealing with it in very different ways. anyways. slowpiss time.
Noah had known that putting in the mask would come with dire, dire consequences. It was worth it, of course, because Brent was safe. What wasn’t worth it was what happened afterwards.
Sophist was a monster. One that cared for Brent, sure, but a monster nonetheless. Noah was forced to watch hands that were his own do deeds that weren’t his. He couldn’t bear to see all of the pain Sophist was causing. It had even gotten to the point where Brent was concerned. But Sophist hadn’t noticed. He had gone from protecting his friend and nation to causing chaos for the fun of it but hadn’t noticed this transition at all.
Noah knows that he has to take Sophist down. But how…? No, he can’t… there must be some other way…
