From Sigrid's first session:
Sigrid + Gabriel's First Interaction:
Gabriel (cleric), walking up to Sigrid: "Cousin!! Atheris [this setting's main god] has blessed us by putting us together." Sigrid: [*big sigh*] "Hello, Gabriel. It certainly seems lucky."
~
Not a quote, but our knight-captain has an illustrated calendar of a band called "N-KNIGHT", featuring members "Lustin Woodpond" and "Halberd Salmon". (The latter was my idea. Or rater, the "polearm + fish" combo was my idea. My initial suggestion was "Poleaxe Trout".)
Leaving Our Rooms
Blaidd (monk): "Are you going to carry [your greataxe] around with you inside the building?" Sigrid (barbarian): "You never know when you might need a weapon." Blaidd: "Are you sure?" Sigrid: "Just because I have it doesn't mean I'm going to use it." Gabriel (cleric), talking on Sigrid's behalf: "Cousin is very attached to her weapons. And in her defense, she's very talented with them. Thanks to that and Atheris's gifts, she has been permitted to carry them inside buildings… for now." Blaidd: "Is that a thin line?" Sigrid: "Thin enough to cut with an axe."
In the Chapel:
[DM is trying to upload a reference image of Atheris, the setting's main god] Gabriel's player (the only player who is religious irl): "THE LORD IS COMING!"
While Eating Dinner:
[Sigrid is shoveling down her food at top speed while Gabriel looks on in disappointment.] Sigrid, looking up, mouth full of food: "What? That ceremony was long. I'm hungry." Gabriel: "Cousin..." Gabriel's Player: "You get a look that reads "We both know your parents would not approve."" Me: "Sigrid is looking back at him like "We both know my parents are disappointed in my for a lot more than that.""
On a Post-Dinner Run:
Blaidd: "Sigrid seems rather... violent." Gabriel (who can't lie to save his life), trying to be diplomatic: "She struggles to express her emotions in a non-physical way." Blaidd: "It seems like she doesn't really like you." Gabriel: "I think it's safe to say I am the member of our families who she likes the most." (Note: That is not a lie, but the bar is LOW.)
