The rest of the world spins on as usual. Maya loves everything about acting: the stage, the spotlights, schmoozing with the Director--even getting into makeup and costume is thrilling, as frustrating as it can be at times.

It’s Joaquin that Maya goes to Geekcon with, because of course it is. Video games and programming aren’t exactly her thing, but she manages to get a few good simstagram pics from it, at least.
Getting some undivided attention is always nice. It’s not long before Joaquin and Maya are official, and even less time before Joaquin has left his bachelor pad behind for Maya’s little home. Spending literally all of their free time wrapped up in one another’s arms might be a little much...but Maya isn’t about to complain.
It doesn’t seem to have any effect on the dating scene, at least. Maya met Joaquin Le Chien on SimDa and knew at once that she needed him in her life--if not as a boyfriend, then as a friend. He was funny and sweet, and loved the limelight just as much as Maya did. He was perfect.
And he managed to keep his attention on her during their first date even after Thorne Bailey and Dustin Broke came waltzing into the lounge and caused a mini-riot. If that wasn’t true love, what was?
Doing commercials for cleaning products only gets you so far in the world of celebrities, though.
At least there was acting. Even on her worst days, there was always acting. She was only doing commercials for the time being, but preaching about the cleaning action of laundry detergent was better than nothing.
Maya kicks her week off by dropping by the Orchid A Go-Go. It might be because it’s still early in the day, but the place is basically empty...save for an impressive amount of octogenarians and one less-than-confident bartender. After several smashed glasses, one decent drink, and a couple uninspiring conversations, Maya decides to quit the scene. It’s not the worst possible start, but Maya isn’t feeling too enthused.

Maya loves being the center of attention at all times. She loves to be loved, and wants nothing more than to be admired, respected...maybe even adored. What better place than Del Sol Valley to find that adoration? What better career than acting? It may be easy to get lost in the crowd in this star-studded city, but Maya is determined to stand out.
