hi chat. behold my color coded and far too in depth guide to minmaxing your custom cat when your making them
i am not making an alt text for this but i WILL transcribe all the text below the cut
putting the key at the top
white star - these roles are ALWAYS important, and are good ideas to prioritize at least one stat of regardless of if its physical or personality
gray circle - these roles are useful generally but lower priority
pink star - these roles are high priority if you adventure a lot
red circle - these roles only matter for actual stats if you adventure
doctor (red circle) - high cleverness, wants +benevolence
innkeeper (gray circle) - no physical stat, wants +extroversion
merchant (white star) - no physical stat, wants +extroversion
teacher (white star) - high cleverness, wants +benevolence
mail carrier (gray circle) - high agility, wants +extroversion
treasurer (gray circle) - high cleverness, wants +dedication
archaeologist (pink star, red circle) - high cleverness, wants +bravery
cartographer (pink star, red circle) - high health, wants +bravery
archivist (gray circle) - no physical stat, wants +dedication
guard captain (red circle) - high perception, wants +bravery
luncheon coordinator (white star) - high perception, wants +benevolence
so what DO all these freaks do? other than the mayor?
doctor - raises adventurers health by a percentile amount
innkeeper - flat chance increase to odds to get a cat from nestor
merchant - lowers prices for out of season goods by a percentile amount
teacher - has a chance to increase a kittens adult stats, 1/50 - (clev + benevolence + kittens dedication)
mail carrier - boosts max amount and odds of mail each day
treasurer - gives 1-6 notes each time you visit nestor based on clev + dedication
archaeologist - last resort for bad rng when searching for rare drops while adventuring
cartographer - boosts adventurers speed a flat amount
archivists - allow more scene customization and allow traveling cat scenarios
guard captain - raises adventurers initiative by a percentile amount
luncheon coordinator - reduces material cost of luncheons by a percentile amount
so, what should i prioritize in a minmax custom cat for mayorhood if im not adventuring?
24 cleverness, 19+ agility, 19+ perception, and 19(+) in another stat besides luck of your choosing. finesse is useful for jobs!
jovial, pleasant, gentle, ordinary, commanding personalities all boost useful personality stats for both jobs and lodge positions!
what if i DO care about adventuring? what should i prioritize then?
still 24 cleverness! but you should then aim for 19+ health, agility and finesse. health is also fine as perception instead! luck is not yet used as of making this, but it will be the future magic stat. strength is also useful in adventuring, but agility is by far the most important thing to boost, as dodging and blocking attacks can negate low health, in fact only one of my main adventurers has more than 20* health!
youll likely want protective, adventurous, commanding, ordinary or jovial personalities if focusing on specifically adventuring, as low benevolence is useful for bards. dont let that stop you from having a gentle or pleasant mayor though!
