Taylor Schilling is a serious Emmy contender this year imho. If only for episode 8 alone. The scene in the cornfield between Alex, Nicky, and Piper might be one of the best acted in the entire show so far. No doubts.

I don’t get the Piper hate train. Never have. Never will. I don’t think there’s a single female character I dislike on the show, I love them all...but none more than Piper. The one who maybe comes closest is Alex but Piper beats her by a hair.
I don’t think that people get that she is supposed to be unlikeable. That’s the whole point of her character. She’s an antihero and not only is it written and developed beautifully throughout the seasons, but Taylor gives the performance so much nuance and depth. People who hate on Piper can quite literally fight me.
There's not a lot of Vauseman, but Piper is being more embarrassing then usual. They are focusing on this Dominican chick and they do make a point to mention it a lot, so at least you'll have that
Listen, the more ridiculous Piper gets the more I love her. I think Taylor plays it off flawlessly. I’m so here for it. And the first episode alone made me love Alex that much more.
I was always pumped to see Dominican actresses playing canonically Dominican characters because usually our actresses like to pretend they aren’t (looking at you Michelle Rodriguez & Zoe Saldaña) but this season is going all out with the Dominican references and you can tell the writers did their research at least because they’re all on point.
Listen...I love Piper Chapman and Alex Vause more than I love most people I know in real life.
