‘take me already.’

“Still sounds like you’re admitting you made a mistake.”
‘ Yeah well, one thing is what you think it is and the other is what it actually is.’
* WITH EVERY TURN , LAWRENCE CAN NEVER QUITE REMEMBER ALL THAT HAD OCCURRED . Waking up with his head in her lap certainly is a surprise , but waking up to a pretty face in the early morning hours is almost always a pleasant surprise .

Mike had always been someone that nobody played with given his tendency to redirect his insecurities into lashed out aggression. Certainly, Kevin had avoided his older brother for the last decade after HARSH words had been said about his wife around town. But no matter the state of their broken relationship, Kevin had NEVER given thought that he’d be the one to SAVE his big brother from the violent and agonizingly slow death the mist had bestowed upon Mike Copeland ( a slow death by empty bellied leeches in a “poetic“ end to a man that had drained others was stopped with a brother’s bullet ).
Hearing someone enter the room that he’d taken for one moment of privacy -- one moment was ALL that he wanted to give him a chance to grieve -- Kevin canted his head lazily, mistaking the figure for a nurse in need of the room for another patient that was tapping on Death’s door.

he recognises her, sort of. she’s from michael’s memories, no his, but as of late the two seem to blur together with increasing frequency. at least it’s helping him recall who to avoid and who to go to for help. or just to talk. ❝ please don’t kiss me; it’s not michael, it’s his vessel. ❞

“ Uh.. Hey. ” He looks startled, as though he’s not used to people approaching him in public. Ray’s always been the ‘weird homeless guy with the crappy car who smells like booze and smoke’-- has been since he left home at sixteen. So to be approached, even in a bar, is kind of a surprise. He scratches at his chin absently, lifting his beer to his lips and taking a swig before looking back over. “ Something you needed? ”
