it never rains. why tonight? why tonight? she finally rounded the corner to her street, and began to walk towards her house. her eyes squinted ever so slightly, as she tried to peer at her house through the rain. none of the lights were on, and she silently cursed at herself. it always seemed to work out like this-she goes out for a night of work and nobody is home. with no keys, she didn’t really know how she was going to make it inside. her feet splashed through a few puddles as she walked down the driveway and plopped down to sit on the front steps of her house. she tried her best to ignore the inevitable - her dad was probably at the hospital again. kennedy pulled her knees to her chest and let out a sigh. what to do now?
