how would you compare produce camp ep 1 to other survival shows you've seen? like idol producer?

personally, having watched season 1 as well, i think produce camp is the best survival show i have watched so far. hopefully s2 (pdc2019) keeps the aspects i liked from s1 (pdc101). ill put some details i liked under the cut

so the thing i liked most about pdc101 was that for the first evaluation, the PROGRAM picked the centers. It was basically the top 6 (? i think it was 6 lol) skilled trainees but also the top 6 hard workers from the first eval (the one where you learn a song in like 3 days). they basically counted up the hours spent training (bc they film practice rooms) and figured out who spent the most hours practicing and rewarded the hard workers! a lot of these people were f or d class students, showing how they work really hard and the show recognized this which sets it apart from other survival shows where center positions are always “the most skilled” or the “most popular.” this also takes away from the fighting over center drama that i really think is unnecessary :/ 

also there is a set number for A class (something they are continuing this year) Since top 11 make it into the lineup, the top 11 ranked contestants are the only a class students. This means that even after the second evaluation, your class rank can change based on votes, meaning those who end up in F or C even after working really hard could possibly end up in A class (this happened in s1 with chaoyue, who made the final lineup) 

similar to idol producer, the teachers are super super nice and supportive but personally i think qcyn was such a mess :/ i really hope pdc2019 doesnt fuck up an already good system like pdc101 but we’ll have to see
