PiDP-8 update #4, assembly nearing completion, save some mounting of stuff in a more robust way.

OS/8 is running, lights are lighting and the stop switch halts the CPU, allowing you to single-step instruction by instruction. Don't try that on your Core i7!

I'll finish it off and we can take a look at a few of the programs we used to think were amazing back in the day

Ferromagnetic Core Memory

64x64 bit ferrite ring (core memory) memory that can store 4096 bits of information. In the 50's and 60's, computers the size of a room had such memories. They were usually handmade.

PiDP-8 build update #3, it's alive!

I only managed to mess up 3 LEDs somehow but a little solder wick and plunger vacuum rework later it's all good lol.

Switches are next and final assembly.

(Hope y'all like a bunch of old DEC PDP8 nostalgia posts, it was the first computer I ever programmed and this project is taking me back big time lol)
