Enso is looking for musicians to open for "Care of Trees" this November!! To apply, please send materials listed below to [email protected]. . GENERAL: We are looking for musicians to open for our production of "Care of Trees," which runs Nov. 15th thru Dec. 8th (dates listed below). Musicians need to have a set that's about 20-25 minutes long. They will be cued when to finish by our House Manager. . TYPE OF MUSIC: Music should be upbeat, warm, fun, easy listening. Acoustic or bands/musicians with their own battery-powered amps or no amps at all are preferred. If jazz, melodic jazz would be preferable to more dissonant jazz. Singers are a +, but not necessary. . REHEARSING: Musicians will be scheduled to come in during our tech week for one, 20-minute rehearsal where they can get a feel for the space and their sound in the space, meet the House Manager, and ask questions. . CALL TIME: Musicians will be called 15-30 minutes before they play, depending on set up time. Musicians are expected to set up and take down their own equipment, although we will have 1-2 staff available to assist with taking things down if needed. . PAY: After musicians perform, our House Manager makes an opening speech to our audience and passes a hat asking for contributions for the musician. Musicians keep everything put into the hat. We will also advertise you and your work on our website, and you're welcome to leave business cards in the space for the duration of the show.
