What got you into mushrooms?

I don't really have a specific moment in my life or a reason that got me into mushrooms. I've been around them since I was little (and they've been around me). It first started as mushroom hunting for food, something that is very common in my country, and then later when I got into photography, I realized mushrooms look pretty, so it also became an aesthetic thing. Then I was "forced" to start learning more about them, and so it became a "little" *cough cough* obsession.

I’m Back!

Thankfully my health has been better the last few months so I was able to get out travelling for my summer holidays. First working on a permaculture project in Almeria, Spain which transitioned to a regenerative agriculture project in Murcia and then a roadtrip all the way back. Safe to say I got some peaceful snaps along the way! I’ve got my queue back into gear, highlighting some of most popular pics over the last year, and soon I’ll get back to adding the latest in beautiful nourishing pictures. The world has further descended into madness while I’ve been away. I hope my curated snaps and future projects will help keep the peace in your life.  Peace,  Robin

@peacephotography liked for a thing.  ...Okay, sure, why not.

He detested posing for pictures.  It was something he would occasionally do when he was much younger, but--

Hojo was never looking for a smile.  Nor a nonchalant pose with the purpose of conveying happiness.  Hojo wanted to be sure of his his legs and arms and spine were developing, aligning, working together, because it all had to be perfect.  Perfect parts in a perfect machine.

Candid photographs came with Angeal and Genesis.  He didn’t fully understand it, then.  How their posing wasn’t posed.  That smiles were supposedly the point.  He still wasn’t completely comfortable with act or the resulting pictures, but he did at least appreciate them more.  For a while.

The thing about being owned, about being a tool, is that one’s likeness and autonomy are not really... theirs.
