It's a random Tuesday afternoon and you are on your way to the hockey house to have a sleepover with your boyfriend, John Logan. You had decided to do movie night and it had been a gruesome week, with your school work and his practice, since you had last seen him so you wanted it to be special. Despite wanting to be independent in your relationship you couldn't say that you didn't miss him and didn't think about him while you were apart.
After some back and forth texting, you and Logan had decided to rewatch Mr. and Mrs. smith, one of your favorite movies that you guys thought really represented your relationship. You, of course, being a badass woman and he was the one pining after you, according to his words. With that in mind, you took a detour to the store to pick out some of your fav snacks to enjoy during the night.
Unbeknownst to you, Logan had thought the exact same thing as you and wanted to surprise you so he was already at the store getting snacks when you arrived.
In your excitement for seeing him again you moved quickly to get inside the store. safe to say you weren't paying much attention to your surroundings and didn't spot his truck in the parking lot.
You had about 15 minutes to get everything that you wanted, so you roamed the aisles seeing if anything except your favourites caught your eye.
Logan had his headphones in while browsing, listening to the shared playlist you had and thinking about all of the fun you were about to have together. god he had missed you so much
As you reached the aisle with the gummies you started searching for peach rings, your favorite. After some searching, you spotted them on the top rack where you couldn't reach. You stood on your tippy toes trying to reach the big pack. Distracted by putting your best efforts to reach the gummies you barely noticed his presence beside you trying to get the same big pack, and he didn't notice either, focused on making a list of all the gossip he had acquired while you were apart, in his head. This guy has the same cologne as Logan, you thought.
On your last try to reach by yourself before asking a store clerk for help, you jumped, and finally got the peach rings in your hands. As you were landing your foot slipped and you started falling. Thanks to Logan's well trained hockey instincts, he instantly reached and caught you.
“Oh my gosh, im so sorr- John!?” You startled. You knew you recognised that cologne from somewhere! “What are you doing here?” you asked ,surprise evident on your face.
“Oh my gosh hey baby!” Logan exclaimed, reaching for a hug."Let me guess,you on the way to the house?”
“Where else would I be going? I have a date with a sexy hockey player!” you said, smirking, hugging him back and squeezing him. You lean your head back to look at him properly “What are you here for anyways?”
“I wanted to buy us snacks so we can have the full movie date experience.” His gaze landed on the peach rings- well, ur peach rings- on the floor
“Me too!”You exclaimed, angling your head in the direction he was looking at, cataloging the fallen gummies.”Noo , my rings!” Freeing yourself from his embrace, you didn't reach far because you were tugged back by his strong hand.
Turning back to look at Logan, your eyes snapped to the other big pack of peach rings which he was showing off with the hand not holding you. “Did you get these for me ? Oh Loge, thank you so much!” you said as tears flooded ur eyes, this week's exhaustion falling over you now.
“Only the best for my girl, you know that.” He said smiling.
Logan, noticing your tear rimmed eyes catching the light of the store, leaned in and started pressing soft kisses to your temple. “Aw baby dont cry, you know I'll always take care of you, whatever it is”
Falling deeper in his arms, you shake your head against his chest “I'm sorry I just had a long week and I missed you and you're doing all those nice things to me and I love you and really appreciate you”
After that he starts pestering kisses to every inch of your face. Cheeks, forehead, nose ,mouth, giving you the most tender kisses. “Honey, you are the strongest person I know. I knew you would get through this week and I never doubted you. Just know I'll be here today, tomorrow and as long as you'll have me, my love. I love you so much.”
You hug and kiss for a couple more moments, not caring that you're in the middle of the store, when your `don`t be late!movie night!` alarm rang and broke you off your spells.
Breaking apart, you reach to turn off the alarm and Logan says “C’mon, let's get our drinks and go pay so I can have you all to myself after,yeah?” smirking and giving you his hand to hold.
Giggling, you smack his toned chest, take his hand and start shopping for snacks, properly this time.
Going up to the cashier, you ready your card but Logan immediately stops you.” Babe do you seriously think I'll have you pay?”
At your lack of response Logan sidesteps you. ”Yeah, that's what I thought, beautiful.”
After paying, Logan puts his hand around your shoulder and leans to whisper in your ear while walking you back to his truck “Cmon, let's go with my truck and we can come back to get yours tomorrow. I need you all to myself for the foreseeable future honey.”
You couldn't wait to have him to yourself either.
