I am so nostalgic tonight for that time in my life when I could run off to Scotland for a spontaneous weekend. Like, damn. I am so glad I had that experience and got to be that carefree for a good six months. And while I still miss it, each and every single day, I am so grateful I got to take the experience I had there and let it shape so much of who I am today. I am working towards a day when I can live my life as carefree and genuinely as I did then. And damn it, I'm going to make it. I know I am.

IT’S FRIDAY.
I have come to realize that this is finally, actually, legitimately my favorite day of the entire week.
My coffee was free this morning because a very sweet friend of mine didn’t charge me for it as a way to say thanks for coming to visit him at work.
I am currently devouring a delicious roasted veggie salad filled with roasted cauliflower, broccoli, and sweet potato strips.
And I’m about to bust out two hours of work before heading off to my thesis meeting, so I’ve overall feeling v. productive.
After that I’d off to a professional networking/friendly happy hour with my mom’s friend’s son, who works at a huge PR firm here in Phoenix and is basically going to chat “all things PR” with me over beer, so how could that get any better?
Then my FAVORITE PARTNER IN CRIME EVER (aka @peanutbuttarunna) & I are meeting up to take on some of our favorite bars downtown.
So basically, nothing could ruin this awesome day.

I finally got a best friend last night and it was perfect. We had some really good conversations about her upcoming wedding (”upcoming” as in next October but still), silly boys, silly work, etc. I just feel a lot better about life right now. Fingers crossed that lasts.
I got to lie in a bit today--aka I slept till 7--and hit the gym. It felt ridiculously nice.
Later I’ve got work and a date later... weeeeeell, actually I’ve got 2 dates later. I’m either going to see Pitch Perfect 2 with an old boyfriend, or I’m off to dinner downtown with an English boy (because apparently I channel Kacie in everything I do). I’m not entirely sure which one I’m off to yet.
My grandma is in the hospital with a broken hip, so I would really appreciate it if we can all send some good vibes her way.

OOH, this is hard. I actively Tumblr-stalk multiple people. But only some of them actually know I exist. Either way, I can’t pick just one fave, so I’ll just make a list. Hahaha.

deadlifts-and-derivatives — It took me way to long to remember the new URL, but Sarah is so great. She’s real, down-to-earth, and not afraid to be open and honest about her life. That’s awesome. She’s also going to be a kick-ass math teacher some day, so that’s pretty nifty.
These are just a few I could think of off the top of my head buuuuut yeah.

FUNNIEST STORY EVER ACTUALLY.
We randomly realized via Tumblr that we totes go to the same uni in Arizona, so we met up for coffee… and then realized we were both about to set off to England for the next semester. So then naturally, while we were there, we had all sorts of crazy reunions and trips to places like Edinburgh and it was basically the best. Because she’s basically the best partner in crime a gal could ask for.
But yeah it’s basically this wacky crazy small-world sort of story.
