Fun fact! You may have already seen this Pearl design on this blog, and that's because I shared a sketch of it to my friend @blueishspace a while ago so that he could draw fanart of it! Here's what the sketch looked like for you all to see ^^

There's really not that many hints from the original characters on these aside from the colour pallette on Pearl and the letter on Tango's outfit, but I tried my best.

Not much else to say here, other than I just mix-and-matched details from a bunch of different reference pictures I snagged off of Pinterest. Here they are to give you an idea:

Lots of people really liked him, so because of all the positive feedback about this kiddo on multiple servers, I decided to do a proper concept and did a few drawings of him! For powers I've envisioned him having weaker versions of the other three diamond's abilities on top of White Diamond's! (or in Pink's case, only one ability) The Yellow power would be to temporarily paralyze others in a certain radius, Blue would be a empathy field where he can feel other's emotions and they can feel his, and Pink would be floating! he also has paler skin compared to Canon due to rarely ever being outside in his entire life. He doesn't live on Homeworld for reasons I'm still figuring out as this is a very new AU. Also, Steven thinks of himself as "Diamond" because he has only ever been referred to as "My Diamond", and so he thinks it's his name.

I also made some potential designs of the gems that raised him! I might make a third, but for now just two is alright. I might also end up redesigning them later but for now they seem okay!

Jet Stone is a more of a stoic gem, who only ever talks to Diamond if he initiates the conversation, though she will be a silent listener and has a comfortable presence to be around. Her Pearl, Black Pearl is like an aunt figure to Diamond, and is the one who takes care of his needs as a human. She cooks for him and is the one that goes outside to buy the things he needs and wants.

And as a final thing, I finally came up with a name for the AU and made a blog for it! @the-diamond-son!
