In an effort to recover from recent events, Levi decided to go for one of his runs. It was the only thing that ever managed to get his head clear, to let him breathe after emotional trouble. That night with Ariella was still beating down on him along with the anger and stress from what he’d been through since he’d left. Not entirely sure where he stood with Ariella now and having yet run into anyone that was familiar, Levi didn’t have the option to go talk to someone. So he pulled on his beaten up pair of tennis shoes, tugged on a pair of shorts low on his hips, skipped the shirt, and headed out for a run.

The only sounds were of passing cars and the beating of his soles on the pavement. Bad for his knees but Levi never put much faith into that. Besides, he’d cut to grass and across campus soon enough. It took ten minutes before everything was gone and Levi could think. He didn’t take notice to much except the sounds and the feeling in his body of his muscles being worked. A few people gave him looks. Some probably because of the fading bruises and others because he was shirtless and a sheen of sweat covered the defined muscles of his arms and chest. Levi wasn’t able to resist sending a smile to those people. He’d reached forty five minutes when he started to a slow at the sight of a familiar face, Levi stopping completely and regaining his breathing back before he offered up his signature smirk to Pearl. “Long time no see, Pearl. Still beautiful as ever, I see.” Classic Levi. Charmer till the day he dies.
