when jin steps inside the tavern and makes eye contact with the bartender, the other’s already getting to work, glass in one hand, bottle of brandy in the other. he takes his seat by the L where a certain bounty hunter has already staked claim as hers, and crosses his arms over the smooth countertop. for a couple of minutes, jin simply watches quietly, neither taken aback or disgruntled when she knocks back her drinks like cold water. then, because he’s mildly curious and it’s always been his way of starting up conversation: “what’s your body count for today, doberg?”
