Oh really now? So your logic dictates that it’s okay if the gem is basically a newborn then? Then it’s safe to ship them with Steven? What a load of bullshit.
Let me lay it on you in terms you will understand: Gems. Are. Ageless. Sentient. Rocks. They even stated it themselves clear back in season 1! Pearl tells Steven in So Many Birthdays that they do not age. Age, like their bodies, is just an illusion. We’ve been shown many times over and over that their mentally and emotional level is what basically determines what their equivalent age is. Sometimes it’s in their voice and the way they talk as well.
Also, Steven is at the age of consent for a lot of areas, including the states Delmarva is based on. Besides, who the hell is gonna take advantage of him, he’s got the power of a diamond.
Tellin’ ya right now, these arguments you people keep recycling over and over again would not hold up in a court of law. You’d be laughed out of the courtroom.

I feel like Steven X any of the main crystal gems is kinda messed up because those are his moms (I saw the pearleven ask)
Pearl is more of his mom, Garnet the aloof aunt, and Amethyst the sister, but hey, I ain’t gonna judge if people ship them, it’s all for fun anyway, and those particular ships will never be canon, so I don’t see what the big deal is.
