A steamy aroma of freshly baked pastries led the boy to the kitchen, like a tempting finger that beckons him. His snout twitched each time he took a whiff of the heavenly scent until he found himself inches away from a layered cake that forced his neck back just to admire it in full.  It was so mouthwatering with the icing decorations that it told him it was for a special event...A special event that it would never make it to.
