@peculiaires / starter call!
“pardon me, sir,” yui approaches the man at the corner of the street, nervously clutching the strap of her bag. “are you, uhm, lost? you’ve been standing there for a while…”

"try jiggling the handle.." Bird's voice, monotone, but restless. He looks unsettled.
you can't stop me from trying. -Wolfgang at the twins!
"We can't stop you..." Eva began, wincing ever slightly. She hated confrontation, and it showed in her pale eyes, and the way she all but quivered at contradicting him.
"But we're not going to help you when you get hurt, either." Lynn continued, crossing her arm over their chest, doing a double take when Eva's arm didn't join hers.
"Evelyn, that's not nice!"
The twin in question scowled, rolling her eyes. "You can't keep bailing people out of trouble, Evelyn. They have to learn to take care of themselves."
you can't go back the way you came. - Ada to Sandy !
"Oh? And who are you to stop me?" Sandy knew the comment was made from worry and love rather than outrage, but she couldn't bring herself to listen. Perhaps it was her age, or her indignation to being called out that made her bristle against the order, but Sandy was going to refuse.
"I'm capable of making my own choices, no?"
“A lot of beds are too small for me. My feet just hang off of them.” -Wolfgang to Thisday!
"Oh I know exactly how you feel. A lot of the world isn't very accommodating for folks outside of quote unquote 'normal', is it?" Thisday nods sympathetically as he gestures at himself. He probably isn't the chunkiest person you've ever seen, but he is chunky enough. He understands perfectly well what it's like to find that public furniture isn't exactly fitting for your size, or the most comfortable.
"I mean, if you have enough money to build this big ol' fancy hotel in the first place, then you can jolly well order in some longer beds and bath towels that are a little bit bigger 'round, right?" In spite of the subject, he seems to be taking it well emotionally as evidenced by his bright, sunny, and almost clueless smile. "And not charge extra for it while they're at it! It's like clothes. They charge extra for the plus sizes, but they also charge an exorbitant amount for like, kids' clothes, which are... which are obviously much smaller, right? They're just nickle and diming us because they can."
“The realistic answer for me is, it was a ghost.” -Jean to Thursday!
Thursday laughs. It's a genuine laugh, not the kind where you can tell someone isn't taking you seriously or is making fun of you. She laughs because she doesn't know this person very well, but she has just pointed out something that is very common around the Haunted Office and so therefore could be common anywhere. As a member of the Parables Unsolved team, Thursday herself is dedicated to investigating any of supposed paranormal activity, and a lot of times people want to deny that it's a ghost, not agree right off that it is.
"It very well could have been! I've met lots of ghosts. One of them is even a ghost of myself from another timeline. So who's to say that it wasn't a ghost?" Thursday says in a friendly tone. She's got her backpack absolutely full of ghost-hunting equipment and her notebook at the ready. "What room would you say has the most activity and are you okay with setting up some equipment in there? Maybe we can catch some evidence!"
