People always ask me about my worship guitar tone. People frequently ask me, "How do you get that clean tone?" or "Man that sounds great, but delays are so hard to use. Your pedal board is huge"
Well, the truth is you don't need much to sound great.
Ultimately, worship is about praising God. That means serving Him and the church with passion and excellence because He deserves it. Period.
With that mentality as your starting point, set aside time to... well... here it comes... PRACTICE! Practice your sound. Learn what each effect can do for your tone. Try different things. Figure out what effects fit with whats happening in worship. (obviously a METAL ZONE overdrive probably isnt the right pedal for worship. LOL)
Introduce one pedal at a time into your signal chain and find what you like and also what is worshipful. You don't need quantity... you need quality.
Here my small board set up. I made the board myself. And here's my signal chain.
