i bought a "complete freelance contract bundle" off some random marketplace last spring. $34. it was three google docs in a zip file. one of them was titled "Untiteld Document." another one was just a screenshot of a contract pasted into a doc. the third one was actually fine but i could've found it free on a law firm blog.i didn't ask for a refund. i just sat there and ate the loss like it was character development.the thing that's changed how i shop for digital stuff: marketplaces where someone actually reviews the product before it's listed. peddlum does this — every product gets admin-approved before it goes live, and reviews are only from verified buyers. you can also message the seller before you pay, which sounds like the lowest possible bar but apparently we're limbo-ing under it as a culture.not a sponsored post. just tired.
