WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO EYE CREAM RIGHT NOW? | DROP IT IN THE COMMENTS! _______________________________________________________ I’m not a big fan of eye creams. My skincare muse Paula Begoun, founder of @paulaschoice skincare, taught me long ago that you don’t need a product called “eye cream.” A well-formulated moisturizer will deliver the same things to your eye area that it does to your face. But what about an eye cream that so good, you should use it on the rest of your face?! On the K-Beauty blog, The Klog, I found this remarkable statement about the Swanicoco Fermentation Peptine Eye Care Cream: “In case you needed further proof that more expensive does not mean better, we found a K-beauty eye cream that out-performed the very luxurious Sisley Sisleÿa L’Integral Anti-Age Eye Cream – and it costs $172 less.” I have never tried a single thing from Sisley and can’t speak to whether or not their products are overpriced nonsense (like La Mer’s $185 cream!). But, price has little to do with formula efficacy — last week’s $100 skincare routine proved that point! Swanicoco’s Peptine eye cream formula is, umm, can I say nearly perfect?! To start, there’s a high level of nourishing ferments at ingredients no.1 and 2. There are humectants, Niacinamide, antioxidant botanical extracts — and EIGHT peptides. While there are no common “nasties” like denatured alcohol, micro-plastic or potentially harmful preservatives, there are several fragrant plant oils that I prefer to avoid, including Orange Peel Extract in the top ten. So there’s that. Oh one more amazing thing: it’s $38 for 45ml.
