Run Time: 1 hour 55 minutes

Synopsis: Set in the final years of Emperor Kang Xi’s reign, The Palace will focus on Yin Xiang, the thirteenth son of Emperor Kang Xi, and the political upheavals and love stories of his youth.

My Rating: 8/10

My Review: I honestly really love this movie, it's definitely a favorite. It has been a while since I watched it though. However, the acting is phenomenal in my opinion. And the storyline is interesting, despite being a bit cliché. I mean it has the whole scheming, backstabbing stuff that goes hand in hand with ancient Chinese dramas.

I feel like the storytelling does get a bit muddled and confusing at certain points, but not so bad that you can't tell what's going on. Despite that, I think it's an amazing movie and one that you should watch at least once.
