“Reading Books” Takeaways-11/14/2019
Books are something that I would always cherish because of how “smart” they’ve made me especially in the field of language arts so when we had to author our own books, I have to admit I got a little excited. However, when the prompt of a major event in your life popped up, my feelings sunk. My life wasn’t exciting, but when I really sat down and wrote, the words began to flow out. At first, it was difficult because I really wanted to focus on the event while adding details, but it soon simmered down to elaborating the main event which was my fear of heights at its peak. When the time came (much later) at the end of reading the books, There were some eyebrow-raisers for me that many people had gone through tough times when they were young. I wanted to feel bad, but I knew that those people didn’t want worthless sympathy but instead ways to help cope with their situations. So, I guess overall, I think that we did get to know each other a bit better and deepen our bonds as peers.
