Anyfin more on those Mothman rumors?
This is Johnny’s dad and I’m foregoing the usual format… I assume everyone here is local and wanted to give an update in case anyone here had seen the news. I don’t know anything about Mothman, and I didn’t know that Johnny had intentions to go out after I left until I came on here to give this update. I don’t know what his plan was, but he wasn’t at home when I got back. He left the bowl of candy on the doorstep and took the camcorder with him.
He knew I wasn’t going to be back until very late and I told him to stay inside tonight, but I guess he figured I was just being strict and thought he found a way around it. I’m not sure if he was out for long last night, but it seems like he stayed inside the neighborhood and mostly interacted with trick-or-treaters. It seems like at some point, he got attacked by some kind of animal— a bird maybe? I can’t be sure, whatever footage he got was heavily corrupted somehow, I can’t make out much.
We did find him, he’s back home getting some rest, and I’m keeping an eye out to make sure he’s not too shaken. I don’t think it would have made the local news if we didn’t already have reporters in the neighborhood who noticed the distress and injuries.
His aunt found him unconcious in her drained pool— it’s an above-ground pool and only a few feet high, thank goodness— and she may have initially thought she was dead (thus the aforementioned distress). She was wrong, much to everyone’s relief, but things probably would’ve been worse if she didn’t notice him so quickly. We’re all just relieved everything turned out okay.
All of this is to say we are not talking to the reporters, I’ve learned my lesson about doing that, so this is the most you’re going to hear about it unless Johnny feels comfortable sharing… and he won’t even tell me, so I think this is it.
