Steve… how can you have any idea what I want when you haven’t even spoken to me about it?
But-
I've been gone and we haven't really spoken-
Are you angry?

Howard, buddy, this isn't a good thing. You'd better find a hole and dig deep and hope that she's feeling merciful this morning.
To whom it may concern:
The New Mexico situation is currently under control.
Current statuses of any S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and employees will be disclosed on a need-to-know basis. Injuries have been kept to a minimum, and we have had no fatalities. Everyone can sleep soundly.
An official announcement detailing the situation for any S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives (and anyone else who is concerned) is forthcoming as soon as our temporary base of operations has been broken down and we've cleaned up the area, as well as making sure there's no one in Puente Antiguo who needs to be debriefed on recent events. I'll be making appointments to meet with civilians as necessary.
An aside to Miss Potts and Miss Carter: you're welcome to come visit the hospital at your leisure, but please be assured that everything is fine.
Thank you for all the concerned notes.
Sorry I haven't been around, didn't mean to worry you. Had some trouble the other night. Everyone is okay. Miss Lewis is safe and sound.
I'll be holed up in the hospital for a few days but it's nothing serious.
Thank you again. I'll try to start responding to asks again but typing is going a bit slow with one hand.
The best thing about being a woman... Is the prerogative to have a little fun
As she shut the door to the black, S.H.I.E.L.D. issued Acura MDX, Maria Hill felt liberated. Finally, she had found herself back on the West Coast. She'd missed the breeze, missed the atmosphere. There was always work to be done on this side. She did worry, however for the agents she'd left behind. With no superior with serious rank to oversee them, they could easily start slacking. But if they knew what was good for them, they wouldn't. When Peggy Carter got settled into the passenger seat beside her, Maria departed the LAX Airport. The flight in went smoothly with Peggy and Maria making small talk here and there, but mostly sitting in silence. Neither woman really knew the other and for Maria, it wasn't easy being in the presence of a stranger, no matter how much she respected her. She was a woman who'd stuck mainly to herself her entire life, fighting her way to the top with pig-headed men trying to deter her every step of the way. To be in the company of a woman of the same stature should have been comforting, but it gave Maria more pause than pleasure. Peggy Carter paved the way for women of their time to prove themselves so for the most part, Maria opted to remain silent rather than say something the other woman would think trivial or unnecessary.
The drive to their hotel was a short and easy one. Maria grabbed her bag from the back seat and handed her keys to the valet. Hoisting it over her shoulder, she popped the trunk for Peggy's belongings.
"Need help?"
Agent Coulson, I'm Margaret Carter, formerly of the SSA... in 1942. James Barnes recommended that I contact you and your people due to my rather unusual circumstances, though from what I hear time travel is becoming something of a trend for you all. To put it delicately, I've been displaced from my time. Any more information you need on me is likely on file— and if not, I'd be willing to answer any questions you have.I really just... as much as I am loathe to admit it, I need help. I am very much lost in your time, and I have nowhere else to go.
Good to hear from you. Agent Barnes told me you might be in contact. He briefly filled me in on the situation. I have to say, on the list of things S.H.I.E.L.D. deals with on a regular basis, timestream displacement is one of the most normal.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I'm still on assignment in New Mexico, and our network access is unreliable at best. I've tracked down your files, though. S.H.I.E.L.D. would be happy to have you. We will have some questions, though, and I'm going to assume that you've yet to be debriefed on your situation by authorities who can properly handle it. I'm going to put you in contact with Director Fury, and he'll handle it from here.
I appreciate your contacting us. We'll do our best to help in whatever way we can.
-Agent P. Coulson
Steve, I want you to draw me like one of your French girls.
But I don't have any French girls?
