Conflicted is the first word that comes to mind when he thinks about Pein. Although the two have had a sexual history, Sasori does not see much beyond that. He is his leader, and while Sasori will remain loyal to his cause without questioning it, Sasori has trouble relating to Pein. It’s possible that Pein is keeping a safe distance, or purposefully keeping things professional. Sasori is uncertain if he minds this, given their history. Regardless, he sees potential, and hopes to bridge some gaps between them.
