I was completely caught off guard by this. All I did was compliment and promote a single piece of work by peintre-stephane yesterday. I wake up this morning, and I find THIS in my inbox on Tumblr, I guess either generated as gratitude or because he just had nothing else to do except paint my wife and me. As I told the artist in response, I am flattered and floored at the same time. Never has a fellow artist hit me back with a likeness of myself, I feel immortalized. You know how they say imitation is the best form of flattery? Turns out there is ONE thing that is even better, and that is having your likeness captured in a piece of art. This was easily one of the best parts of 2020 for me. Thank you so much peintre-stephane, and again, I’ll see you all next week and next year.
