I recently got my nose pierced (a stud) and I was halfway into writing a mini x reader headcanon fic about how Sylus would react to such a thing, but I’m so fucking lazy… I’m just doing bullet points and writing my personal thoughts down 😞 maybe I’ll finish the fic another time…

Sylus’ reaction to you surprising him with a nose piercing! (any kind of nose piercing, reader is gender neutral btw)
How the surprise would go down
- Whether he knows you’ve been wanting to get a nose piercing or not, you’d get the same reaction upon surprising him with one.
- Perhaps you’d get one on a particularly busy work week where you wouldn’t be able to see him.
- Just know that, if you send a text/photo as your way of surprising him while you’re away, HE WILL take initiative to see it himself IMMEDIATELY. Yes, even while you’re busy. He doesn’t care, he’d view it as you teasing him… telling him via text/photo while he’s no where near you, the nerve! (It’s also a weak excuse for him to want to see you, he misses you </3)
- Sylus already tends to magically (purposefully) show up while you’re working as a hunter. Maybe you were intending to surprise him once you weren’t busy, but he decided to surprise you with his presence when you least expected it… congratulations, now you’re both surprised.
- Of course there’s also the possibility that things would actually go smoothly with the surprise, being able to show him your new body mod for the first time by visiting him in the N109 zone.
How he’d react to it
He’s such a sucker for accessories on you, being part dragon and all I feel like his instincts make him naturally drawn to it (especially if it’s a piercing with a jewel!) He’d adore it so much, immediately holding your face to get a proper look upon seeing it for the first time. Without wanting to mess with the healing process, he’d carefully place a kiss as close to the piercing as possible. He’d tell you that it suits you, that he felt like you’ve secretly had this piercing your whole life. He insists on taking you to your next visit to the shop you got it pierced at, wanting to pay for whatever modifications or jewelry changeouts that are needed/wanted to be done as/after your piercing heals. He’d also insist on being there if you ever decide on getting another piercing, purely out of support. He’d definitely look into buying you all kinds of jewelry that you can changeout whenever the wound is fully healed, his desire to spoil you knows no bounds.
While it’s healing
He forces himself to lock in and be mindful of your piercing, he’d literally handcuff himself if he ever teased you by playing with your face and knocked your piercing on accident. His kisses are more cautious too, even in hot and steamy instances he’d make sure to avoid messing up the healing process. If YOU started getting too bold and careless with it he’d scold you about it. “Ah, ah.. watch your piercing, kitten.. wouldn’t want to extend your healing time, hmm?” Depending on how much you care/worry about making sure it doesn’t get infected, he’d either be more concerned than you are about it OR he’d do everything in his power to keep you from worrying too much. You forgot to clean it? Yeah, you’re getting scolded AND he’s cleaning it for you. You’re constantly monitoring it and worrying too much about the healing process? He’d check it for you and reassure you that you’re doing a good job taking care of it.
