This is the rough Draft of the PEK timeline as of <Friday, August 15th, 2014, 07:23PM Eastern Standard Time> that I have constructed. Subject to VERY MUCH change till it is moved from “Rough Draft” section to “1st Draft” section.
This will be a list of the mythical artifacts left behind by the deities and ancients, descriptions and locations will be updated as needed. All artifact names will be as referred to in "modern" common human language.
*note to Lug that he has the freedom to add in any details/artifacts that may be needed
For now we're going to settle with the random number 14 for the amount of existing artifacts
"Scepter of God"
Location: In custody of the Kaz, exact location unknown
The Scepter of God, like many other artifacts of old, is believed to have belonged to the king of deities. A curious tool, the scepter would never react as a catalyst to the magicks, but would instead absorb any energies directed at, or into/through, it.
The Scepter emits a constant large mass of energy, which the source is unknown. It is assumed that the energy is either recycled, or simply spreads out to the atmosphere, while the Scepter replenishes itself with unused energy around it. It would then also be unknown how the Scepter decides where to absorb this energy from, as it never takes energy directly from a living being unless the energy is purposely directed to it.
Upon proper gesture, the Scepter has the uncanny ability to "force" a target(or targets) to kneel down. This is caused by releasing a large wave of, hypothetically, energy above and around the target. According to those who have had the Scepter used on them, it is said to feel like an unbearable weight on one's head and shoulders, apparently getting worse to the point of wanting to lie down should you resist.
It is stated in history books that the Kaz used this artifact as a weapon on any who attacked them back in the wars of old, and threatened to submit any who tried to trespass their later closed borders to its power.
"The Needle"
Location: Last seen in custody of Daron, assumingly stolen by Kaitlyn right before she escapes to defect and properly establish The Rebellion.
The Needle, or what is known of it, is a fairly simple artifact. At first glance, and use, it is a normal magical staff of high craftsmanship. Formed of dense, reflective, metals, The Needle fashions a complex design spiraling from its top to bottom. Despite its obvious type of material, The Needle does not seem to rust, and functions just as well, if not better, than the average staff made of magically conductive material. The top of the staff is wide and rounded, and becomes narrower all the way down into a point.
Upon closer inspection and study, The Needle displays the ability to direct energy through itself, and "inject" that selected energy into a target via contact with the pointed bottom "tip" of its body.
"The Fallen King"(Twisted God's Blade)
Location: ??? (possibly held by Suvo)
Description pending
"Hands of The Tyrant" ( The Palm of Mercy and The Judge's Fist)
Location: ???
Description needing more detail
The Hands of The Tyrant, effectively two items of "one artifact", boasts two unique abilities. Each ability is given to its respective item, but are very much related and one of the two does not generally function without the other.
The Palm of Mercy, when properly charged with magical energy, will incapacitate, if not slightly numb at the least, a target when hit.
The Judge's Fist only functions in two ways. Should a target recover from a blow by The Palm of Mercy, and attempt to retaliate, The Judge's Fist may do anything from knock the target unconscious to killing, based on the original intentions of the user's aggressor. Should the aggressor retaliate with intentions to kill, The Judge's Fist will reflect that intention, etc.
"Warflame Hilt"
Location: ?????? (Possibly was in the hands of Samara)
Description needs detail
The Warflame Hilt will only function in the hands of an elemental mage. In the hands of a proper user, the Hilt will reflect the highest possible potential of its wielder, regardless of whether or not the wielder has actually reached this potential in practice.
In the hands of any other, The Warflame Hilt appears to be the average hilt of an unfinished, or broken blade. The Hilt does not respond to any kind of energy as a catalyst, but when elemental energy(of any kind) is charged into it, the Hilt will form a blade of what appears to be intense flames. The size and intensity of the "flame blade" depends solely on the magical potential of the user.
"The Lord's Crown"
Location: In custody of the Qurai King
The Lord's Crown, believed to be the crown of the deity king, is a beautifully crafted crown of silvery material, with runes and other curious engravings and designs all around it.. The Crown itself will accommodate its size to any who attempt to wear it.
Unlike other artifacts, The Lord's Crown has not been found to have many powerful abilities. The Crown will entice any being to hold it, should they set their eyes upon it for a range of time, the current recorded minimum being three seconds. Should they touch the Crown, the affected subject will have an irresistible urge to wear it. Aside from these effects, there are no other recorded effects of the crown, even if worn for extended periods of time, leaving the actual use of the crown a mystery.
The Crown is kept in the Qurai King's Vault, as public use often creates conflict between civilians should multiple subjects look upon it.
"Void Reaver"
Location: ???? (Possibly was in the hands of Skov pre-mmo, originally in custody of The Order)
Description needs details
The Void Reaver is a slightly curved, narrow, blade. It displays excellent conductivity to magical energies. Aside from it's beautiful design and obvious magical conductivity, the Reaver will create a short, quick, connection of the area it swings at to another location, effectively working as a quick vacuum, and even allowing it to slice without the blade being properly sharpened. With proper use of Void Magic, this effect can be amplified or extended.
"Man's Shadow"
Location: ????? (last in custody of The Order)
description needs details
Man's Shadow is an ancient artifact, in the form of a large scythe. The scythe itself is extremely durable, and to this day, is not known to have found a method of damaging the original scythe itself, due to its durability the scythe does not need actual sharpening.
Man's Shadow, aside from this ability, displays the capability of making an infinite supply of copies of itself. These copies, however, are not as durable, and any of the "copied" material that breaks off, or is attempted to be used for the creation of anything else, will simply disappear.
"The Lord's Talons" (Fate and Destiny)
Location: Wielded by Kielle
Description pending
"The Iron Heart"
Location: Unknown. Previously owned by Grand Nobilus Dz. However, after his "death" at the hands of Archdemon Mythra the current whereabouts of the artifact are unknown.
Referred to as the "living weapon" the Iron Heart holds the unique ability to imprint on it's wielder, transforming itself into the most "appropriate" form for the wielder. Made of a mysterious unidentified metal, it's dull grayish-silver metal-like appearance resembles that of Iron, hence it's name. Due to it's transformation nature, the Heart cannot be permanently destroyed, reattaching a severed piece of the artifact will cause it to simply merge back into the artifact.
Originally gifted to the First Ranylle by unknown means, the Heart was passed on from father to son for generations until it found it's way into the hand's of Wygtner Ranylle, Dz's father and the last "leader" of the previous regime of the Church before Dz's reforms. Under Wygtner's control the Iron Heart took the form of a large Great-sword, wielding it as the "Blade of the heavens" until his death at the hands of his son Dz.
"Key of Ether"
Location: Presumed Destroyed. Lost during the Mage Purge.
The Key of Ether is a powerful and extremely sought after item known as the "eraser of sins" by the common people. Becoming the core of legends and countless expeditions to discover it, the Key of Ether was probably the most sought after artifact since the dawn of human sovereignty. Taking on the appearance of a small golden key with a exotic blue gem in the hilt, the key has been rumored to have the ability to alter or even remove one's magic entirely.
Countless adventurers, historians, religious zealots, and even mage's desperate to hid from the witch hunts of the church ventured out to find this legendary key of ether, and for centuries no one had even found a hint of the key's location. One final attempt to discover the key's location by a group of Mage refugees eventually led to the destruction of the Ancient Temple of Elekiaw, collapsing into the gorge below, and with it the Key as well.
