Peltier Element Identification
Last year, I created a diagram to help identify Peltier element IDs. However, I realized that I should probably cite my sources as per WP:Verifiability.
The diagram is at http://i.imgur.com/v6SsR6p.png and also below:
Fairly simple stuff, right? Sure. Of course, I can cite PCBHeaven
http://pcbheaven.com/wikipages/The_Peltier_Thermo-Element/
and be done, but I want to provide a more substantial claim: I'll prove each of the four below, by comparing to a standard size Peltier element:

1) Size: This one's a small (starts as TES) vs. the above is a standard size (starts as TEC) http://www.ebay.com/itm/TES1-3104-3-8V-12-5W-Peltier-Cooler-Thermoelectric-Cooler-Cooling-Module-Hi-Q-/200772834374?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ebefe5446
2) Stages: This one's a rare two-stage (starts as TE_2) vs. the example at the top is a one stage (starts as TE_1) http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-1-PCS-40mm-TEC2-25408-Double-TEC-Thermoelectric-Cooler-Peltier-15V-8A-/161034494584?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item257e676278
3) Number of couples: This one's a really uncommon 31-couple Peltier element, as compared to the standard one at the top of the page (a 127-couple) It's also the same as the one from example one (as Peltier elements with a small number of couples are, of course, smaller) http://www.ebay.com/itm/TES1-3104-3-8V-12-5W-Peltier-Cooler-Thermoelectric-Cooler-Cooling-Module-Hi-Q-/200772834374?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ebefe5446
4) Current rating: This one's a fairly uncommon Peltier element that is rated at 26 amps as compared to the generic one on top of the page, rated at six amps. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Awesome-400W-Thermoelectric-Peltier-Cooler-12-VDC-TEC-/310158610445?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4836e4d00d
I've got no connections to the sellers linked here. I also realize that these sellers will probably stop peddling their Peltier elements in a few weeks, months or years' time, so I've created screenshots of said pages.
