DIY TIN CAN PEN AND PLANT POTS KIDS’ CRAFT

I’m sure we all use at least one tin of food a week, we definitely do for beans and chopped tomatoes! Instead of putting them out for recycling, why not make DIY tin can pen and plant pots like we did for one of our live craft sessions on my Facebook page.?

We made a Frida Kahlo, crazy haired robot and a Hello Kitty unicorn! (don’t you just love the imagination of children?!)

YOU WILL NEED:

Tin can (or yoghurt pot/jar)

Paper (can be patterned/wrapping paper)

Colouring pens

Cellotape

Scissors

Optional decorations (googly eyes, bottle top nose, artificial flowers, wool, small pom poms)

Up-cycled Day-Glo Pencil Pots!

These are sooo tacky - I love them :) Being a stationary hoarder, I have my fair share of pens/pencils/markers (and craft tat) etc cluttering up the place -  Cue the baked bean tin....

These things need no explanation - just sunglasses (ho ho ho...)

The spray paint I used was from the PlastiKote Fluorescent range in Wilkos (also in B&Q etc).

I have even crocheted a few jackets for them in the past - because I'm just that cool.
