I love Penny and Amber so much. What if Penny’s one and only superpower was the ability to conduct heat and energy, like copper? An ability that would only be useful with the help of her rival.
I should really make more stuff with my OCs.

Let’s take a small break to acknowledge this comic’s roots: I made this when I was around 14 years old in 2012. It was one of the first times I ever tried using Ignitous Characters in a comic format. Up until this point, Penny and Amber (who we currently know as “Amita”) had only ever had violent interactions, but since Penny’s little sibling is Amber’s closest friend, I thought it would be fun to explore how they’d interact when forced to work together.
I was working on the second page when I realized I totally ship it. So it progressively became gayer and gayer, until Amber became a literal flaming lesbian and their ship started literally sailing. It was at that point that I first realized I might not be completely straight. That’s right, this comic was so gay it made me realize I was in an invisible closet the entire goddamn time.
And here I am today, a pansexual woman with an entire collection of characters that are DEFINITELY not straight. I’m so proud.
Happy Pride.
It’s totally unreadable now, so transcript with bigger pages below the cut:
I made a couple versions of this bit when I lost photoshop - I was still uncertain how I wanted this to go down. And I was... REALLY uncertain about the dialogue. Like. Penny. I know you’re only like, 12 here, but come on. And are we using ambiguous pronouns or not??? Why is Amy calling “Denise” a “him,” that makes no sense???? Especially since Penny used “baby sib” instead of “brother”??? Even though she doesn’t know yet??? WHAT IS WRITING.
Man, I am on a ROLL with these today. ... penny looks pretty done tho, so maybe I should stop... Base by the wonderful @croxovergoddess. Fire lesbian is Amber Flame, Science child is Penny Ignitous, and crazy person is Rose Clockwork. Their story will one day be told @ignitous-comic.
Does anybody else ever get that feel when you go on tumblr and search the ship tag for one of your otps, before realizing that the ship doesn't have a fandom yet because it's just two of your ocs that are so old you subconsciously forgot you were the one that created them? Then immediately start using draw the squad memes to fill the void? Base by the WONDERFUL @croxovergoddess, Penny Ignitous (heroic science girl) and Amber Flame (evil-ish fire lesbian) are mine. Their story will one day be told @ignitous-comic
Last one out of Universe City (Meme from Steven Universe, art made from draw the squad memes by @croxovergoddess and @snuffysbox, characters are mine. Their story will one day be told @ignitous-comic, but for now, enjoy the memes)
And yet ANOTHER draw the squad meme of these two losers. This one's base was made by @snuffysbox, who is REALLY GOOD at this kinda thing. Science girl is Penny Ignitous, Fire Lesbian is Amber Flame. Their story will one day be told @ignitous-comic
I'm considering giving Penny her own show... Which of course means Amber's gotta practically costar it so I'm trying to figure their proportions out
