I love Penny and Amber so much. What if Penny’s one and only superpower was the ability to conduct heat and energy, like copper? An ability that would only be useful with the help of her rival.
I should really make more stuff with my OCs.
I logged into Minecraft for the first time in years (for the bees), and… my minecraft worlds are all gone. I used to use Minecraft as a tool: I’d build my set designs in Minecraft, take screenshots, and then trace over them in photoshop. I use a different technique now for set design, but I put so much work into creating that little community for my characters in Minecraft, and that world always held such a dear place in my heart, so I’m sad to see it’s been lost forever. I still have those old screenshots, so I thought it’d be appropriate to make a masterpost of them, so that their memory may live on.

I’m thinking of making some animatics for my show idea, the SuperGuardians. Rather than make a whole episode setting up the plot of the show, I figured I might as well just put the backstory in the show’s OP like an early 2000s action cartoon. This is the first draft of the concept. I do not know how to play any instruments. I do not know how to make the theme actually sound good. I will probably have to learn. And/or seek assistance from outside sources. None the less, have fun with this very silly first draft (you can even hear my little sister criticizing me in the background)

In the middle of a climactic battle between good and evil, a lab accident causes the creation of … a baby girl?
Now these four Supers all must set aside their differences in the pursuit of a common Goal: Ensuring the safety and well-being of their newborn child.

Unfortunately, the Ignitous Comic will probably be going on another really long hiatus. But the good news is, the characters live on!
And that’s where I ended.
But you know, after organizing all of my content for the queued content dump, I realized this story might not be as much of a dumpster fire as I thought. I also realized that I’m going to have a lot more time on my hands during college than I originally thought... so... maybe I’ll pick this back up??? And while I’m at it, maybe I’ll go back and fix all the other pages. Turn this mess into something to be proud of.
I was planning to have Digit unlock all these “human superpowers:” Things like curiosity and sarcasm and bravery. Cuz, you know, Digit's an alien learning to navigate human society. I thought it might be relatable.

Let’s take a small break to acknowledge this comic’s roots: I made this when I was around 14 years old in 2012. It was one of the first times I ever tried using Ignitous Characters in a comic format. Up until this point, Penny and Amber (who we currently know as “Amita”) had only ever had violent interactions, but since Penny’s little sibling is Amber’s closest friend, I thought it would be fun to explore how they’d interact when forced to work together.
I was working on the second page when I realized I totally ship it. So it progressively became gayer and gayer, until Amber became a literal flaming lesbian and their ship started literally sailing. It was at that point that I first realized I might not be completely straight. That’s right, this comic was so gay it made me realize I was in an invisible closet the entire goddamn time.
And here I am today, a pansexual woman with an entire collection of characters that are DEFINITELY not straight. I’m so proud.

Amber! I was originally not going to introduce Amber until much later, but most people seemed to gravitate towards these two whenever I showed them the concept art for Ignitous. So I played with the idea of introducing Amber a bit earlier.
