Being dead for multiple years in the abandoned family CRT must surely be an experience. One can imagine Kris content with this new way of un-life, but pretending as such fails to admit reality. The reruns have stopped, and there’s nothing left but dead air.
Listen y’all, all I’m saying is that if each AU Sans had a different favorite condiment, then each different AU Tenna needs to have a different fursona. That’s all I’m saying 🤷
What purpose is a cage. Protection, Possession, or something in between? Is the point to keep something locked within, or keep out a terrible fate? Maybe it stopped mattering a long time ago.

Aka, that one AU I’ve been yapping about without yapping fully about it for who knows how long. Honestly just boils down to a single change that makes all the difference. Not sure if any of y’all are aware, but CRTs are extremely heavy objects. And, back when they were popular, unsupervised kids getting crushed and killed by the family TV was a real concern. So, what if one applied that to Deltarune and had Kris die long before the prophecy could ever be fulfilled?
Warning for: Child Death (of course) and Some Self Harm on Tenna’s part.
Short answer, a hell of a lot. But, rather than dump it all at once, I’ll start with my favorite goober who I love to torture most. Former TV host, Mr Ant Tenna himself!
It all happened before the contract which would have led to Spamton’s puppetfication. On a stormy night when Asriel was out the house, and neither parents were supervising, Kris would come to a grisly demise. However, unwilling to leave this life behind, their soul would attach to the closest object it could, the family CRT.
Devastated and horrified at killing Kris and, essentially leading to, the entire breakdown of the Dreemur family much sooner, Tenna up and flees from the studio never to be seen again. The TV is removed from the house, and only through a series of not so unfortunate events, he avoided the dump and instead ended up deep in the storage unit along with all of Kris’ now useless items. The toys, the bed, everything that Kris once touched or once closely associated with would be scrubbed from the Dreemur’s house. As for Kris, simply a silent spectator not unlike an actual Darkner, they grew to despair and unintentionally tamper with Tenna’s own psyche as it truly did seem like the family they held so dear would rather pretend they never existed at all. Manifesting in nightmares and paranormal activity (most commonly the TV turning on and broadcasting without power), it would drive the TV host to ripping out his old antennas in an attempt to stop the endless stream of news regarding the tragedy.
It would be here where Tenna would, not for the last time, learn that something was horribly wrong. Not quite Darkner anymore, but nowhere near a Lightner, the TV soul duo found themselves in a grey area in which things in the Light World began to uncharacteristically mirror things in the Dark World rather than the other way around. Tearing out his own antenna left evidence in the Light World with scratches on the CRT and two useless tv prongs now laying on the ground. Sometimes what Tenna could have swarm were dreams, would lead to things around in the Light World out of placed or damaged. And that’s only the things he could remember, as these days were… rough, for the former star.
This would be far from the end though, only just the beginning really. There’s a lot more to this, and I’ll likely get into where Tenna got into the Delta Religion along with where his new antennas, including his disk antenna, came from! But I probably yapped enough. Thanks to anyone that stuck around for the ramble!
And specifically a thanks to @wearetigers as their comment prompted me to throw caution to the wind and share what I got! It ain’t everything, but I hope the lil lore dump was enjoyable ^^
