Pencil 2D 0.6.1 + Hotfix Release

In our effort to continue improving Pencil2D today we’d like to present you with the 0.6.1 version (+hotfix) maintenance release. This release has a number of fixes and improvements focusing on memory management and performance as well as some added QoL improvements with a slight cosmetic makeover, to download and learn more about it please read the full release notes here:

Pencil2D 0.6 coming soon...

Artists! Developers! We're nearing the release of Pencil2D 0.6.

We've setup a release tag on github, and changed the download links on our websites to point to the fourth, and probably final, Release Candidate for the upcoming version.

A release candidate, might have bugs and issues on it, but it’s almost as polished as the final release. Many bugs have been fixed during the past few weeks, and If there are no hardcore issues left we will release the newest version very soon, and finally begin looking into the future of this amazing software.

Pencil2D 0.6 Release Candidate

Hey everyone! we wanted to announce that we have a release candidate ready for the upcoming version 0.6 of #Pencil2D!

Test it out and let us know what works, and what doesn't. This will be but the first step to take Pencil2D to new heights! Grab it while it's hot! and remember to pick September 23rd's Nightly Build on any of your favorite OS.

But there's more! we were recently contacted by iAniMagic Animation Contest organizers since they were looking for participants. So what a better way to test Pencil2D's Release Candidate, than entering#iAniMagic2017 and test your skills out! They have a lot of neat prizes so we wish you the best if you're entering!

Note that they are sponsored by "Animation Desk" a well known commercial animation app, however you can use ANY software you want! Submissions are open until Nov 3rd!
