The pens looking like true penguins waddling into the arena together
Penguins huddle to keep warm. Without each other they would die. Baby penguins, when born, are left alone sometimes for a few days while their parents forage for food. How do they make it with no food in their belly in subantarctic temperatures? They are born with down which helps. New research is showing that their mitochondria may act differently to help them survive. But they stay alive mostly by the comfort and warmth of each other. I think that’s amazing and beautiful. They need each other and none think twice about it. Nature at its finest.
