I meant to post this last week but as John Lennon put it "Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans". That may not be the exact quote but you get the gist of it. Over the past few years I've been treating myself to a volume from the Penguin Christmas Collection. Last year Kid B contributed. I require one more book to have the entire collection. Woo hoo! The Night Before Christmas is my latest addition. Not to be confused with Twas the Night Before Christmas. Just sitting by the Christmas tree, wearing my new holiday shoes ☺️ and reminiscing about this book which I just finished. The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus is a great little book which was published in 1902 by L. Frank Baum. This story takes you on Santa’s life journey from youth to manhood and then to old age with fairies, pixies and nymphs always by his side. It definitely has a Wizard of Oz feel to it.
