you are absolutely correct. something about the way conan doyle wrote those characters subconsciously convinced every producer of every sherlock holmes adaptation to intentionally or unintentionally write them gay as hell

I got hit in the chest by BirdFlash feels recently and decided to do a full reread of watercolor for the first time in a good while (and loving every second of it). I’m on Terminal Velocity now and I just admire the way you weave your plots in with the emotional narrative. It’s something I see in all of your plot heavy works but I feel like it’s particularly on display in terminal velocity. Wally’s struggle with his worsening condition paralleling the growing tension in his home life. His feeling unable to move both physically, because of the side effects of using his powers, as well as emotionally, because he’s still stuck in his parent’s grip just trying to duck his head and make it through each day with as little damage as possible. It’s so good, such an emotional read

That is some very high praise, thank you! Terminal Velocity I think, of all the fics in the Watercolour series, surprised me the most as I was writing it. I always knew where I wanted Wally to be, physcially and emotionally, but the end, but man... so much more came out of me as I was writing it. It was probably one of the most cathartic projects I've ever completed.

I was going through a really rough time in the two years it took me to finish it. Even outside of the stress of grad school, my personal life was just in the gutter and I was really struggling. Looking back, I think I really did need to take the time I did to write it. I'm looking forward to my new projects and all, but I really think Terminal Velocity is going to be my favourite for a very long time.

These might have been retorical questions but I saw them since you reblogged the post from me and the autism in me needed to answer 😂 but grits are a southern thing it’s basically porridge made out of boiled cornmeal (not as bad as it sounds lol) and the difference between American chocolate and British chocolate is mainly just that American chocolate is sweeter

2.- How long have you been drawing?

Uhmmmmmmmmm i dont remember haha, it was so long ago, my first deviantart account was when i was 11 years old, but before that i drew shitty things on paint and before having a computer i would draw a lot of more shitty stuff on paper, so, ive been drawing for as long as i have memory, imagine smol maril drawing shitty stuff at 3 years old and making her shitty ocs yep

5.- What’s your favorite thing to draw?

not a thing, but, Sock! I love drawing Sock, is like my stress relief, my way of venting, or when i just want to draw cute clothes, or basically everytime. He’s so fun to draw is2g

15.- How long does an average piece take you to complete?

It depends. A doodle takes 10 minutes or less, a doodle with simple color like 30 minutes, a 100% final piece like more than an hour, that depends if the drawing is too big or how many characters i drew, if its just one then like an hour and a half.
