Anyway this is Pennie to Ben methinks. Like the fact that he comes from the Core, that he’s older than her, that he lowkey was having to parent her while they were together (because of all the relationship skills she had not learned,) I think she views it like this

Every time I hear this part I just imagine an animatic where Fannie, Connie, Ginnie, and Pennie are standing in a row and each one lights up in turn on the “eenie meenie miney mo” part, and the first instance has them as kids, and the second instance has them as adults, and on the “And I am,” the other three fade out so it’s just Pennie
