Training the new hire whilst simultaneously tending to half a dozen ivy plants? Not her best move. That’s what the sudden spots in her vision indicate, anyway, and Evi curses under her breath, knowing what’s to come. What had she been saying? “Ah -- hold on.” 

She clenches her eyes tightly closed, exhaling slowly, as if it’ll make a difference. Never really does, especially not in this bright store. “I’m fine -- just get these headaches sometimes. Rare, really, but when everyone and their mother is calling in favors after the parade, well.” The witch exhales, fingers on her temples, eyes opening a sliver. “This isn’t some strange new employee ritual, I swear, but could you turn the lights off? Won’t help much considering all the windows... better than nothing, though.” In the beat of quiet afterwards, Evi sighs. “See, this is why I let Ricus do the talking -- ow, shit. Ah, anyway... tell me about yourself?” Does she particularly care? Maybe not, but she knows she’s making one hell of a first impression right now and they can’t really lose their new pair of helping hands. “I remember a few things from your interview. You haven’t been in town too long, right?”

“Hey! Hey! Stop!” She’s a little frantic, tripping over her feet and desperately trying to get this girl’s attention before she walks any further. Things seem okay, quiet and rather peaceful, besides the low hum of the thing Miriam is desperately trying to get attention about. 

“There’s a wasp’s nest right in that path-- I saw someone get attacked like an hour ago. You shouldn’t walk this way.”

When Red had first seen the white of winter take over Spirale, her first reaction was excitement. It wasn’t often that Cloudbank was gifted with real snow, since most people voted against having it, but she was more than happy to be experience it once the storm had stopped. Though as the woman and her sentient weapon made their way through town, admiring each display that had been set up around quite a popular shopping center, they noticed that something didn’t seem quite.. right.

Amongst the twinkling lights and tiny winter decorations, parts of the displays suddenly came alive! But only the snowflakes began to move, dancing their way through crowds of people and avoiding contact with anyone who tried to reach out and grab them. They almost looked like they were intentionally causing trouble; knocking other displays over, causing the employees to attempt to catch them-- but to no avail.

Red began to follow a particular one, her blue eyes focused on it until she noticed it nearing a young girl. Though she couldn’t call out to her, the Transistor already knew what to do; attempting to get her attention as Red’s heels hurriedly clicked after the fake piece of snow.

Lissa was somewhat busy just walking in circles around the other girl, somehow just amazed by her clothing. She finally burst out in a boisterous manner, “I love your outfit!! Ah that bow, that bow is so cute, it’s so big, it reminds me of the ones my friend Maribelle wears! Do you know her?”

The princess stopped in front of her and looked down, “And those shoes...What are they? Are they boots? They’re shaped so funny. Are you my age? You look so young.” Honestly, she was just very curious and the questions really weren’t going to stop until the stranger spoke up.

🎼 Technology was so confusing. If you clicked one button, you’re halfway to your desired result. If you clicked another, the machine became offended and refused to work any further. Which led to Piano staring down at the screen with a dumbfounded expression as her character had his heart ripped from his chest. What had she done wrong? She had repetitively smashed the kick and punch buttons just like the before her had done.

She stepped away from the machine with a frown, arcade coins jingling in her pockets.

Piano had wanted a pleasant diversion from her current kidnapped dilemma but so far, she had only grown more frustrated.  So far she had crashed her car, got lost in a dungeon and was eaten by a grue. She couldn’t possibly see what children saw so fun about all this. Still, trying out one more game couldn’t hurt. And with a name like ‘Dance Dance revolution’, it sounded right up her alley.

But someone else seemed to be eyeing the machine. She tugged on the girl’s sleeve before pointing at the game. Maybe they could play together?
