I know we always see shows/movies of people only hanging out at bars and we might even find ourself often invited out to go drinking.

But I think people who claim that there are no adults activities that aren't centered around sex or drinking don't actually try to look for other groups??? Cuz there's actually a TON. I won't deny that there's a lot of things that involve drinking and that's totally a topic worth discussing. But when people tell me that there is no other groups I get so confused. There's a literal adult fencing club in my area. Fencing.

Libraries and rec centers have so many groups and activities for adults. Community bands, rec centers, adult ultimate Frisbee clubs, hiking groups, etc etc. They are 100% out there and all over the place. The only thing is that they usually aren't seen much in television, and they have a hard time advertising since they aren't a business like bars.

If you want to go out and do something with other adults it is your responsibility to actually go out and find something to do. And I have a feeling a lot of people who claim there's nothing else besides drinking things, have never actually tried to look.

I’m really going to miss Dracula Daily, it was part of my routine and I really loved re-reading it in chronological fashion! Plus I forgot so many of the details, including that ending.

she's a girl who's made the wrong decision over and over. had them thrust upon her. had nothing work out the way she'd hoped.

how desperate do you think you'd feel for the next choice you make to be the right one?

i'm writing a voldemort wins au and i've gone back and forth SOO many times if i want one of the main pairings to be ronmione or dramione. like, i feel like dramione fics automatically have much more visibility and success because the pairing is so compelling, but i have such an interesting idea in mind for draco instead. and i love ron so much! i want him to be flawed and redeemable just as much as draco is.

i'm writing it like ronmione right now and if i ever finish/upload it, i will have to make peace with the fact that i am the only person who loves that idea LOL

i lost almost all of my drafts, all of my writing in nov 2021. 100,000+ words, at least a dozen half-developed ideas, over a year's worth of work. when it happened, i thought oh well -- a chance to start over. but it was actually devastating, in a way that is very silly to say out loud but deeply + privately felt

trying to work on a new project now + it feels like trying to grow a whole new set of legs. i've been out of fandom for six months (combo school + losing my writing) it's like am i even good at this anymore is there even space here

i've got so many fun ideas and i will put them to the page in due time, but gosh. it is scary to look at a blank document and know that what's going to come out of your fingertips is rust
