julia pennyworth reading list
[post crisis, i.e. 2014 and onwards]
CHARACTER SUMMARY:
- julia pennyworth is the estranged daughter of alfred pennyworth. after batman interrupts her stake out in hong kong and gets her injured, she's taken to gotham city, and after the hospitalization of her father works comms for batman.
- after bruce's death and resurrection in batman: endgame, julia spies on the powers organization and helps train jim gordon as the next batman. once he retires and bruce returns, she moves on to working for batwoman.
- after batwoman vol 3, julia vanishes from the comics and doesn't appear for the next few years (despite her father's death and funeral taking place in that time). she then appears in the joker run in 2021, where she has been hunting down bane for killing alfred.
- despite bane appearing in the comic and being behind the entire premise of what occurred, julia never encounters him and doesn't achieve her mission.
- julia has not appeared in a mainline canonical comic since.
