well there’s two fellas i’ve sort of zeroed in on in this show that are working out p good and i can search out some sherlock adaptations n stuff (its a shame brett’s isnt likely to have a lot of screencaps, cause his watson would be great XD) :3

OOOOH. his watson would be really awesome. i’ll have to see if i can get the movie somewhere to cap that myself.

1912, actually, so closer than that. but i’m doing icons from smth thats 1880’s (90’s at most) for the question you sent to my blog tho~ idk how many there’ll be though x.x im kicking myself tho bc i love the victorian era but i’m drawing a blank ;_;

ahhh -- honestly, if they’re too difficult to find, don’t worry about it. i know it won’t be an easy thing to find for hollywood, especially because the character isn’t a skinny twenty-year-old.

i know but i thought it might be close enough, yknow? there’s a lot of leeway with men’s fashion tbqh, its tiny details more than whole silhouettes that distinguish decades and sometimes centuries.

i really don’t think it’ll work. i know men’s fashion changes a little less than women’s, but there’s still a very noticeable difference. i’d much rather be accurate than just setlle for 1920s fashion because it’s easy.

downton would probably be a good place to look~

ahhh, not the right time period, not by a long shot. the book takes place in the 1880s, and downton abbey takes place in the 1920s.
