Color pictures will be rare on this blog, but as an introductory post, this is my baby, Lana. My mom bought her in 1983 (we think) and she lived her first life as a photojournalist before being passed on to me.

While I was in school for filmmaking I didn't have much time for stills photography, but after graduating my digital camera became work-only, and analog is my dedicated hobby. My first self-funded adult vacation was to the Vermont wilderness in 2020 (see above) where I fell in love with waterfall photography, and I imagine that's what most of the pictures I post to this blog will be.

It is a dream of mine to have my own darkroom setup at home someday, but while I'm stuck without access to a darkroom, I send my film to The Darkroom in San Clemente, CA for development, printing, and scanning. They deserve a shoutout for the incredible work they do.

For glass Lana has a Sigma 28mm f/2.8, a Pentax 50mm f/1.4, and a bizarrely unbranded 85-210mm f/4.5. I mostly shoot on Ilford HP5+ but I'll make note of what films I used on the posts.
