Shoe Saturday: Classic Black Pumps
I hate to generalize but I'm going to: Working women buy a lot of shoes. It seems to me, shoe companies would be wise to make comfortable and good looking shoes so women would go back to them again and again. I personally can say I'm not brand loyal when it comes to shoes. I go to a store, try on what I like and buy the most comfortable and best-looking pair of the moment. Two weeks later I hate them or love them but seem to go through the same process again and again. (What is it they say about when you do the same thing over and over again and get the same negative results yet you keep doing it? Idiocy? Yikes.)
I spied these Sanida Carroll shoes on Polyvore. I've read up on them. Here are my thoughts: the shoes are good-looking with nice details; they have a nice range of heel heights; they claim to be comfortable with a cushioned leather lining and an almond-shaped toe; they come in patent leather and flat; and the company donates a pair of shoes to a person in need for every pair of shoes sold. While the price point isn't inexpensive ($250 or so), if they are all they claim, you can wear them for a long time (if you care for them).
I'm going to buy a pair. And then I'll let you know if I have mud on my face for proactively recommending them - or if I'm on the right track. (PS I'll purchase the 2 1/4" heels - perfect for when I do personal brand presentations, stand around at mixers and stomp through buildings - because I do stomp.)
NOTE: I heard from Sanida Carroll - The nice person who is handling their twitter told me she walks 20 blocks in her mid-heels and that they are very comfortable. More to come.
