A messed up truck and a pile of helicopter spaghetti. Something bad definitely happened here. Not sure which one was smouldering, but it seems to have stopped. It would’ve been nice to get an ACTUAL HEAT!
The helicopter blackbox? It’s just JUNK.
Useless torn up CRAP!
Ugh, nevermind. I’m just gonna eat my vegetables and hope nothing jumps me.
What a bust! Nothing useful, nothing exciting, just a whole lot of nothing worth looking at. The town is over the next hill, so we might as well carry on toward it before the night closes in.

At least it would’ve been if the whole zombie apocalypse thing hadn’t kicked off.
The suit is locked on until I can find something to pick a padlock on the back of the collar. Locking on a tight rubber suit *seemed* like a totally normal and sensible idea at the time. These things always do ¬n¬
Still it’s just one of those things ya know. You do your thing and I’ll do mine. It wasn’t exactly easy finding partners at the best of times, between being a frikkin hermit horse with a laundry list of weird kinks and quirks and issues, most folks wouldn’t come near me. I barely even saw folks when I was working. It was all working alone in the greenhouses and mailing out plants.
Thought I’d finally found the one as well. Tolerant, accepting, into some of my weirdness - he seemed genuinely nice up till the whole frothing at the mouth and trying to eat my brain thing. Ugh.
Still not the worst date I’ve ever been on -_-
Ugh... fine. If I don’t you’re just gonna keep annoying me about it til I do.
Congratulations - you’ve made her all miserable now. Well done anon. I hope you’re happy. Tune in later to find out just what horrors are lurking at the mysterious burning wreckage.

It’s a bit rough but nothing a few (hundred) well placed chops with my handy dandy sharp stone axe won’t fix!
Oh yeah! A big stick to hit things with. Nothings gonna mess with me now!
And hey, I’m doing well. I found a buncha wild veggies and a jar to boil water in whilst wandering about! The lid is a bit rusty, but who cares. Someone had just flung it away in the undergrowth. Now it’s mine. MINE! Ha.
I’m getting a pretty good survival kit together!
It’s still bloody cold out here though...
Peony is at the far side of the forest. The ground on front of her is open and pretty flat. In the distance the outline of a town can be seen. There are wisps of smoke coming from a wreck of some sort to the northeast, between the town and forest. What should she do now?

It’s not much use even as a bag, but it’s better than nothing I suppose.
Well I have a book of matches, so that will do for now til I can scavenge or craft something better, and there were plenty of rocks around so knocking a couple together was enough to make a simple hand axe! Not sure what kinda rock this is. It isn’t flint. Quartzite maybe? Who knows.
This should prove to be pretty useful!
I suppose I should keep moving north. It’s not unbearably cold as long as I keep moving. Still need to find something to use as a weapon and there are definitely wolves in the distance.
Peony continues north through the forest in the hopes of finding some actual food, and decent shelter away from the biting cold and hungry wildlife.

Well, I do have a box of matches, and most of a candle. Maybe I can find a piece of flint or a shard of metal I can sharpen outside. If I head north, past the forest and on to the town, I might be able to get some good supplies. But then again, I might get eaten. I have no idea if anyone will be alive up there. It might just be a hive of undead horrors.
But still, I’m not gonna survive long here in and empty shelter with no food or heating, and I don’t think I can rely on the potential for some sort of rescue out here in the middle of nowhere. Looks like it’s time to make a move.
Heading north through the forest and on to town definitely seems like my only real option for survival. Even if there are potential zombies. Maybe I can be sneaky and avoid them.
I hope this isn’t a bad decision...
Peony heads north to try and secure some supplies before exposure and hunger get the better of her.
