This video shows EXACTLY why rock music was outlawed in 1997. Bands were always trying to stage dive and insurance premiums went through the roof for venues.

Biggie Smalls was a really amazing guy because he liked to take DJs who've never performed before and give them their shot at the Big Time. This is how Dave Grohl (lead drummer for the Food Fighters) got his start.
Unfortunately for this poor soul his first gig didn't go so well.
Take this sad video as a lesson not to publicly perform your first gig at a big concert. Try to find something smaller for your debut, like a One Direction show.
Sometimes if you're just starting out as a DJ you have to throw in some extra sweet dance moves and a radio announcer voice to get people pumped up. Especially if you're doing something really boring like a wedding.
This guy not only numbers his songs but he does The Locomotion with grace and style. Hats off to the DJ!
Taylor Momsen has it down. She's just all like, "Fuck it, I don't need headphones to play music." She basically just throws those useless headphones off and turns a knob and you know that guy behind her is basically really impressed. He's smiling like an ex-convict uncle who has your daughter for a weekend camping trip.
Taylor is like, "The party is where?" and just turns her back to everyone like that guitar player from System of a Down, back when "rock" music was still legal.
By the way, the knob she's turning is labeled "GET PARTY STARTED."

Note that there are barely even any lights on in that room. How can he see what he's doing? Also, I can't help but note that he doesn't even have a MACBOOK up there. Where is the music coming from?????
DJ AM is so good he's doesn't even know which button he's pressing but I bet you it's the Right One.
His laptop has his name on it for a few reasons 1. People at the show don't know who they came to see 2. When he's chilling at coffee shops people can interrupt him 3. In case his laptop gets switched with someone else who has 14,000 hours of Basement Jaxx / Celine Dion mashups in their Itunes His hand is at his side to show restraint and humility, and because he doesn't need anything Capitalized at the moment.
These people are so famous they don't even have to TOUCH the DJ equipment! Somehow they press play and it just PLAYS. This is somewhat similar to Karaoke but you don't even have to sing.
These celebrities are so famous that I don't know who they are.

Here is a really special People Turning Knobs post.
We all know about Paris Hilton's battles with autism, dyslexia, tourette's, and alzheimer's disease...so it's a really special thing that she took time out from rehabilitation to show people all over the world that basically ANYbody can DJ!
She tries to sing but her doctor comes up and turns her mic off.
Also, I'm new to DJing and I'm not sure if she's pointing at things because that's what DJs do or if that's part of her condition. Anyway PLEASE DON'T LAUGH while watching this video.
