The very first beasts————long ago, far before the age of Mankind, she had been charged with their restraint, aiding with their imprisonment in a realm all their own. Normally, Seraphiel did not concern herself with heavenly affairs; she was content simply living what she imagined her true purpose to be. Yet, the leviathans were creatures that would destroy, leaving absolutely nothing in their wake, driven by such a hunger that could never be sated. She felt an obligation to help; it was an immense weight that pulled at her from the very center of her being.
Yet, however powerful Seraphiel may have been, such things could not be accomplished by just one heavenly figure. She found it difficult to trust others of Heaven, a constant worry in the back of mind that everyone seemed to have some kind of ulterior motive, their own agenda that drove them.
Seraphiel was good at searching for people and things, always finding them in the end, her only exception being her Father. So, she searched for one to help her, someone she imagined that her trust could be placed within. He was thought to be dead, though she knew there were times that even death was not an end. Trace after trace, following the smallest of breadcrumbs, Seraphiel allowed herself to led wherever they may lead, hoping to find what she was searching for.
The path she followed finally ceased; her guard was strong, like a great stone wall, though she held no weapon in hand. Her voice was gentle as she spoke, though still loud enough that any near may be able hear her, ❛ Gabriel? Brother, I know that you’re here... ❜
