Thank you David Galipeau, Chief Impact Office of UNDP SDG Finance and Savi Linka Cyn of the UNDP Apac Youth Economic Empowerment for@bring me to Beijing to be a judge at the Asia-Pacific Forum on Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (APFYLIE) this past weekend! It's refreshing to see UNDP innovating fast with a regional group of 300 of the regions top youth changemakers, policy makers, impact investors and other ecosystem players. My key takeaways are: 1) great ideas exist regionally but much more can be done to share best practices from different countries, promote cluster synergies and create regional champions. Too many teams doing the same thing which is great but may be a wasted effort. This part the UNDP is trying to encourage. 2) Many Social enterprise pitched on my track at the scale up stage but needs help to get traction and create more sustainable recurring revenue. Had a good chat with many teams on the side and looking forward to@mentor 3 teams personally to see if they can really scale and find partnership and. Hold their community based on my experiences at @hubbathailand and @techsauce_global 3) Beijing is incredible! Whatever you see on TV or experience with tourist in your home country is total fake news and not representative of the entire country. Yes the problems do exist but I've mostly met kind people like @superag_cn Bob CEO of #PeopleSquared who took us on a private tour of one of his spaces in Beijing which was bigger than all my coworking spaces combined and Lougu Lane, as well as the entrepreneurs, staffs and lay people around our conference. UNDP #YouthCoLab is a geat initiative and I'm glad that HUBBA and Techsauce is finally an active partner and supporter of UNDP and their goals to reach SDGs on 2030 through Youth Empowerment. Looking forward to continue the work afterwards in the lead up to #techsauceglobalsummit2019 and Definitely will spend more time in Beijing and Shanghai as Chinese entrepreneurs and investors are keen to expand in Southeast Asia in an epic Chinese way! Until next time, thank you everyone who came and be present and for making this one of the most unique experiences :) (at Beijing)
